Maytag has announced a new longer warranty for Maytag non-coin OPL multi-load washers and dryers (previously 2 years). Starting Monday June 15, 2009, all OPL multi-load washers and dryers will increase to a 3 year limited all parts warranty. Multi-load OPL washers will continue to have a 5 year limited parts warranty on the following components: outer shell, drum, shaft assembly, inner welded frame, bearings and seals.

This new warranty becomes effective on products invoiced to end-user customers on or after June 15, 2009. All multi-load washers and dryers will be covered under this new policy, whether it has the new warranty document packed in the machine or not. The determining factor on the new warranty is the date the end user/customer purchases the product.

This new increase in warranty coverage for OPL non-coin multi-load washers and dryers does not impact coin operated multi-load washers and dryers. Maytag coin operated equipment will continue to be covered by our industry leading 5 year all parts warranty, just as it has for several years.
